Art supplies are too expensive. What is a cheap way to paint but not using crayola?

Any good brands or stores or good ideas that don't include pastels or crayola or high end oil paints?Art supplies are too expensive. What is a cheap way to paint but not using crayola?
buy them of ebayArt supplies are too expensive. What is a cheap way to paint but not using crayola?
My boyfriend uses Rose Art products in his classroom and other cheaper brands. They work just as well as Crayola.
The dollar store has paints!
Make your own, I guess. I agree, I used to love art, but when I got to college I saw the real money was in selling the supplies, not the artwork itself.

ie, brushes used to be made with horse hair, and artists used to be forced to create their own paints...wonder if there are recipies online??
try water colors.
the dollar store has paints, as well as any craft store...try Micheals..they had great things and they are rather cheap as well
grpahic is easier and cheaper than that
