I find Dick Blick cheaper than Pearl for just about everything.





Plus, dickblick.com hasn't ticked me off yet, and the Pearl on Canal Street did several times (with lousy customer service, and lack of actual art supplies, as opposed to toys and hobby supplies, in inventory).





Charrette or Utrecht are good stores to patronize if you need something immediately, and can't wait for an online order to be shipped. Sam Flax is very, very overpriced, as is Lee's.
Check out Utrecht.com. Dick Blick's prices are generally for ';hobby'; artists, and you'll get scalped on most of your supplies. Urecht is geared more toward the professional artist.
