Ebay. Online art stores include Dick Blick, Italian Art Store, Jerry's, and more. Various manufacturers offer their own online stores as well like Utrecht, Daniel Smith, Blue Ridge, and so forth.

Here is a good 4-color limited palette. Using a limited palette can save you money, but it does have the drawbacks of more time spent mixing and less intense colors on some points of the color wheel:

Quinacridone Magenta (PR 122)

Cobalt Teal (PG 50)

French Ultramarine Blue (PB 29)

Cadmium Yellow (PY 35)

+ White

Options:

You can replace Cobalt Teal with Phthalo Green Blue Shade, or supplement it by adding Phthalo Green Yellow Shade. You can also replace Cobalt Teal with Manganese Blue and add Phthalo Green Yellow Shade.

You can replace the Quinacridone Magenta with Cobalt Violet Light + Anthraquinone Red. If you go this route, you can also replace Cadmium Yellow with Bismuth Lemon (PY 184).

You can add Mars Black (highly recommended).

Here is the fuller 6 color (plus black) palette:

Cobalt Violet Light (PV 49)

Anthraquinone Red (PR 177)

French Ultramarine Blue (PB 29)

Manganese Blue (PB 33) or Phthalo Cyan (PB 17)

Phthalo Green Yellow Shade (PG 36)

Cadmium or Hansa Yellow (PY 35/97)

Mars Black (PBk 11)

+ White

Options:

Substitute Quinacridone Red (PR 209) for Anthraquinone Red and substitute Bismuth Yellow (PY 184) for Cadmium Yellow. This will provide you with a brighter red and brighter greens. Or you can use Anthraquinone/Quinacridone Red + Bismuth Yellow + Isoindolinone Yellow (PY 110) in order to have a warm orange-yellow and a cool greenish-yellow. This expands the palette to 7 colors.

You can see how the colors fit on the color wheel here:

I'm not sure what stores you have in Wa...being that i'm in Pa :)

Michaels and A.C. Moore are both kinda pricey, but they have really good paints/brushes and kits which would supply both. I would suggest looking at Ollie's because I had gotten a full set of Donna Dewberry brushes there for $2, and I LOVE them! They also have cheap paints. I'm not sure if they sell them all the time though or just once and a while.

Best of luck and hope I helped! :)
Well I dont know much about every store but they sell art supplies in Walmart and Michaels. there are canvases in Walmart and Michaels. But mostly they sell art supplies in Michaels.

HOPE I HELPED!
